Bespoke Cartier glasses and customisation

A Cartier frame is the starting point. At the ASK Atelier in Woburn Sands, Milton Keynes, we help you explore individual lens tints and precision diamond-cut facets to personalise your chosen piece.

Begin with the look you have in mind. We will talk through the frame, your prescription requirements and the finishes available before you make your choice.

Shape your piece

Tint, facet and prescription

01

Individual tints

Think about the colour and depth of tint you prefer, and where you expect to wear the glasses. A subtle finish and a more expressive colour can give very different impressions. Bring a reference so the team can discuss the options for your lenses.

02

Diamond-cut facets

Facets add definition to the lens edges. Their effect is easiest to appreciate up close, alongside the shape and proportions of the frame. Ask the team to explain which finishes can be considered for the piece you choose.

03

Prescription requirements

The appearance of your glasses and their practical use belong in the same conversation. Share your prescription information and how you use your eyewear, so the dispensing team can discuss the suitable lens choices.

Your consultation

From an idea to a considered choice

  1. Tell us what interests you. Share a model, a photograph or simply the finish you like when you request an appointment. ASK can confirm the pieces available before you travel.
  2. Look at the frame in person. Compare its shape, fit and details with the team. Discuss how your lens choices will work with that particular piece.
  3. Confirm the details together. Ask about the finish, prescription requirements, quotation and expected timing for your choice. Each customisation is discussed individually.
How we approach bespoke prescription lenses

The collection

Customisation and Cartier Precious

Choosing a lens finish is different from choosing a frame from Cartier’s Noble and Precious collections. Our Cartier page shows both the eyewear selection and close photographs of Precious pieces, so you can explore the details before your visit.

A photograph is a useful reference for your appointment. It does not mean that a particular frame, setting or finish can be reproduced on every piece. The ASK team will confirm the available choices with you.

Questions about bespoke Cartier eyewear

ASK specialises in bespoke Cartier customisation, including individual lens tints and precision diamond-cut facets. The options depend on the piece and your lens requirements. The team will explain what is possible for your chosen frame.

Prescription lenses can be discussed for your chosen Cartier frame. Bring your prescription information or ask the team about an eye examination first. Suitability is confirmed for the frame and lens combination before you decide.

Bring an idea of the colour or finish you like, a reference photograph if you have one, and any prescription information. If you already have a Cartier piece you would like to discuss, contact the team with its details before arranging a visit.

Diamond-cut facets describe shaped edges on the lenses. They are different from the diamond-set frame details shown on some Cartier Precious pieces. The team can show you the distinction and discuss the finish you have in mind.

Our photographs show eyewear and details photographed by ASK. They introduce the collection and possibilities, rather than confirming that every pictured piece is currently available. Please tell the team which photograph interests you when requesting your viewing.
